Amarone Italian Restaurant in Sandusky, OH

I was craving Italian food and found this place after leaving Cedar park in the downtown Sandusky area! It’s a family owned restaurant by a couple and son running the business. When you walk in the son asks where would you like to sit and he brings out the water. Then the lady who’s the owner came out and was friendly and I got the lobster spaghetti and the soup on the day which is the Italian wedding both was good, delicious, and made fresh! If you want a good authentic Italian food come here that’s not a chain!

My husband and I stumbled across this wonderful Italian restaurant on a whim. The outside made us skeptical with it being attached to the subway but once you walk in you are transported into Italy. The staff was amazing and the food was perfect. We have traveled and ate in many different Italian restaurants. This one is definitely #1 now on our list. The owner / chef came out and took our order. Even told me to slow down when talking ( which Gave me fond memories of my Italian grandfather who would say the same to me ). Our meals were fresh and the flavors were outstanding. This is definitely a place where you have to wait for your food because it’s cooked to order but for me that’s what dining out is all about. I don’t want a reheated quick meal. I want the love that went into the food and you could taste that in every bite. I highly recommend you take the time and enjoy the experience. I know we did.

Swung in for a dinner later in the evening. The restaurant is smaller, but cozy, staff was super friendly and service was quick, without feeling rushed at all. All in all perfect for a quiet date. I had the spaghetti 'matriciana, and will probably be dreaming about it later. I asked to add sausage, expecting a link on the side of the plate or on top.. they tossed it in with the sauce and it was magical. My date ordered lobster spaghetti and it was the first time I've ever seen my girlfriend finish a plate before me!

My 16 year old grandsons really enjoyed their first ax throwing experience. The assistant was great. He took the time to go through the safety rules with them in length. He gave them great throwing advice. It was a good break from 3 days in Cedar Point Park. They asked to go back the next day. I would also visit if you're a beer lover.

This place is a gem! I first came on a whim with a friend while on a trip. It was “of season” early May. We got there around 8:30 pm. We were greeted with such love and genuine kindness! As if you just arrived into a family home for dinner. It was a wonderful experience. In fact it was so good I had to bring my husband. The Alfredo is delicious ( my first visit I had their chicken Alfredo-my second visit I had get the mushroom ravioli) and the veal parmigiana tender and delighting.

Truly Authentic Italian Restaurant. Very cozy atmosphere, clean, nicely decorated. Service has been so pleasurable. Our server was very polite, informative of all items on menu. Food is very Authentic! Just a great place to have a great dinner with great food and kindest staff! Ice cold beer with chilled glasses. bruschetta bread with garlic and cheese for 2....amazing! Prices are fitting to the incredible, fresh, homemade food you enjoy eating with every bit! My lasagna is heaven in my mouth! So delicious. Dan's meat manicotti he said was delicious as well. So our next dinner here will be myself trying the chicken Alfredo with Dan choosing the homemade lasagna, excellent choice. Please stop by Amarone Italian Restaurant Wayne Street Sandusky Ohio.
